Mission “Marco Polo”: the adventure continues, with a real race this time

After a second reconnoitring trip and thanks to positive feedback both from the recce and last month’s “demo-race”, at a meeting held in Arvier (AO) on Thursday 1st February the organisers of La Grande Course confirmed that next winter the international circuit with the most thrilling and spectacular skimo races is to include a stage in China.

That’s right: the first edition ever of a non-European LGC race will be held in the charming village of Hemu, in the Xinjiang region.

The dates to put down in diary are the 11th and 12th January 2019. A unique occasion, not only for the big names in skimo racing but also for the aficionados, who will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful mountain scenery in the Kanas area and ski in a “sea of powder”.

For the occasion, various package deals that include registration fees, flights and accommodation will be available. So now all you have to do is plan a few days’ holiday so that you can experience this once-in-a-lifetime adventure first-hand: a wonderful experience to tell your friends about.

Further information and full travel details will be published shortly on the circuit’s website.
