MILLET TOUR DU RUTOR EXTREME 2018 DAY 3 - Michele Boscacci & Axelle Mollaret increase their lead on la Grande Course

TdR day 3. Firm favourites on the eve of the race, the two strongest teams lived up to expectations on the third decisive stage and were borne in triumph to the overall podium. 4 prestigious names will go down in the annals of this 19th edition: Michele Boscacci – Davide Magnini in the men’s race and Axelle Mollaret – Jennifer Fiechter in the women’s. While the Alpine soldiers preferred to cross the finish line with their friends and team-mates Matteo Eydallin – Nadir Maguet, the queens of the women’s competition chalked up their nth success with a 3 out of 3, which says all there is to say about their manifest superiority.  
 
According to the rankings, Michele Boscacci and Davide Magnini won with a 3’11” lead over Matteo Eydallin and Nadir Maguet. Third place went to Bon Mardion-Gachet with a 6’44” gap, Herrmann-Barazzuol were fourth with a gap of  15’43”, fifth Sévennec-Bonnet with a  18’ gap. In the women’s race the final classification reflects the stage podium, with Axelle Mollaret and Jennifer Fiechter coming first  with an overall time of  9h15’21”, ahead of  Alba De Silvestro and Katia Tomatis (9h21’38”), and Lorna Bonnel and Séverine Pont Combe who came third (9h56’30”).
 
For the youngsters, once again, high altitude racing and true ski-mountaineering with an elevation gain of 1278m and GPM placed at 2850m on the Château Blanc glacier. Amongst the juniors, the winners were Julien Ancay from Switzerland and Arthur Blanc Ançay from Framce. In the girls’ race Olesia Ronzon and Alessia Re came first once again. In the Cadet category, victory went to the Swiss duo, Léo Besson and Tobias Donnet
